Fujitsu General fault displays vary between wall-mounted units, wired controllers and outdoor boards. Communication, thermistor and fan faults should be matched to the exact Airstage or mini-split model before testing or ordering parts.
How to approach a Fujitsu General fault
- Count the operation and timer light flashes and record the controller display. A flashing-light pattern may be the only code on some indoor units.
- Check the indoor-outdoor cable, terminal order and outdoor power first for communication faults, especially after installation or electrical work.
- Thermistor and fan codes can be caused by a connector or harness problem, so inspect the sensor plug and routing before replacing the sensor.
- Use the exact service manual for the indoor/outdoor pair. Fujitsu test procedures are not interchangeable with Daikin or Mitsubishi procedures.
